Geoff Boycott:
Former England player Geoff Boycott is in second place in terms of scoring a century as the oldest cricketer in ODI cricket. Boycott completed the first hundred of his ODI career in 39 years and 51 days.
Boycott played 36 ODIs for England, scoring 1082 runs in 34 innings at an average of 36.07. He has one century and nine fifties in ODI cricket. Boycott’s personal best performance in ODIs is 105 runs.
David Hemp:
The name of former Bermuda opener David Hemp comes in third place. He scored the first century of his ODI career in 38 years 149 days against Kenya.
Hemp played a total of 22 ODIs for Bermuda. During this, 641 runs have come out of his bat in 22 innings at an average of 33.74. Hemp has one century and four fifties in ODI cricket.
Sunil Gavaskar (Sunil Gavaskar):
In this special list, the name of Sunil Gavaskar, the great former batsman of the Indian team, also comes. Gavaskar got the first hundred of his ODI career in 38 years and 113 days. He is the first batsman to score a century in ODI format for India at the oldest age.
Gavaskar has played a total of 108 ODIs for the Indian team. During this, 3092 runs have come out of his bat in 102 innings at an average of 35.14. Gavaskar has one century and 27 fifties in ODI cricket.
Mohinder Amarnath:
The name of former Indian cricketer Mohinder Amarnath comes at the fifth place. Amarnath has scored a century in ODIs for the Indian team in 37 years and 117 days. He is the second batsman to score the first century in the ODI format for the country at the oldest age.
Amarnath has scored 1924 runs at an average of 30.54 in 75 innings playing 85 ODIs for the Indian team. During this, two centuries and 13 half-century innings have come out of his bat. Amarnath’s personal best batting performance in ODIs is 102 runs.
