900 electric buses will run on roads by December, this EV company is making big preparations

All the experts have said that India’s electric vehicle segment will gain more momentum in the coming times. The government is also working fast in this direction. Now commercial electric vehicle manufacturer PMI Electro Mobility Solutions has said that by December 2022, 900 electric buses will run on Indian roads. According to the company, it will make PMI Electro one of the largest electric bus fleet operators in the country, based on indigenous manufacturing technology and on-time delivery.

Speaking to a news agency, Manvi Jain, Head of Corporate Affairs, PMI Electro Mobility, said that the company is aggressively bidding for the tenders floated by the State Transport Undertakings. He has received LOA (Letter of Award) from many states.

About 603 electric buses of the company are running in India. Recently the company has received Letter of Award for providing 100 electric buses to Rajkot Municipal Transport Corporation and operating them for 10 years. According to Manvi Jain, the objective of PMI Electro Mobility is not only to win tenders but also to ensure timely delivery. He said that we are one of the leaders when it comes to providing electric vehicles. He informed that the company has emerged as the second best brand in delivery of electric buses in India between April and June in 2022.

Statistics show that PMI Electro Mobility has emerged as one of the fastest growing electric bus makers in the country. In the first quarter of FY 2022-23, it has secured the second position in terms of delivery of electric buses with 126 deliveries.

PMI Electro Mobility operates and maintains electric buses in more than 20 cities across the country. The company claims that their buses offer a range of around 200 km on a single charge and can be charged in around 30 minutes using a DC fast charger. Many features including CCTV cameras, real-time monitoring system, air suspension have been given in these electric buses.

The company has set up a production plant at Dharuhera in Haryana. Its annual production capacity is 1,500 electric buses. The company plans to increase manufacturing further. For this, it is going to set up a new production facility in Pune with an investment of around Rs 300 crore. Every year 2500 units will be manufactured here.
