He made a comeback in the T20 World Cup after being injured on the tour of Sri Lanka before the Asia Cup. He was once again injured while playing against England in the final and was out of the field for the next few months. On Sunday, November 20, Shaheen gave an update on his injury for the fans.

It is going to take some time for Pakistan’s star Shaheen to return to the field. After getting injured in the Test series against Sri Lanka in July, he was away from cricket for almost three months. He returned in the ICC T20 World Cup played in Australia but he was injured again in the final played against England on 13 November. Due to knee injury, he could not even complete the quota of 4 overs.

On Sunday, 20 November, Shaheen shared the details of his surgery with all his fans. He gave this information by posting a picture lying on the hospital bed. Shaheen has got the appendix operated and wrote the same thing, today my appendix was operated but I am feeling very good because of the mercy of the almighty. All of you pray for me.

Shaheen has been advised to stay away from cricket for the next few weeks due to injury. He will not be able to play even in the home series against England and New Zealand. He is currently in the hospital and will undergo rehab after spending a few days at home after being discharged.
