Afghanistan opener made record against Sri Lanka
Ibrahim Zadran scored a century against Sri Lanka

On the basis of the amazing batting of the top order, the team scored a big score against the host. Afghanistan, electing to bat first, managed to score 294 runs for 8 wickets. Opener Ibrahim Zadran’s record century innings was also included in this.
Afghanistan started the 3-match ODI series against Sri Lanka with a brilliant batting performance. Batting first after winning the toss, the team managed to score 294 runs for 8 wickets on the basis of the top four batsmen. During this innings, opener Ibrahim Zadran became the first batsman from Afghanistan to score a century against Sri Lanka. Rahmatullah Gurbaz and Rahmat Shah also played half-century. Najibullah Zadran also played an innings of 42 runs to help the team reach the big score.

From Afghanistan, now Ibrahim has become the batsman to play the biggest innings in ODIs against Sri Lanka. In 2018, Rahmat Shah played an inning of 72 runs for the team. Leaving this score behind, Ibrahim scored a century. He got out after scoring 106 runs and took this special record to his name. This is his second century in ODI cricket. Earlier this year, Ibrahim had played an unbeaten inning of 121 runs against Zimbabwe.
