New Delhi. The Indian cricket team is all set to enter the finals of another very exciting ICC event. Everyone’s eyes are fixed on who will get the trophy of the World Test Championship final. If the Indian team has made it to the final for the second consecutive time, then the Australian team will play the final for the first time.
Indian all-rounder Shardul Thakur termed the World Test Championship (WTC) final against Australia starting at The Oval on Wednesday as a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity and said he wanted to make a mark in it. It is not yet decided whether Thakur, who has played three of his eight Test matches in England so far, will get a place in the playing XI, but this 31-year-old player is fully prepared for his side.
Thakur told the ICC, “I believe that you don’t always get a chance to play in an ICC tournament, especially in the finals, so for a player like me, this is a once in a lifetime opportunity. I want to take full advantage of it. It is always a special moment when you represent your country especially India where crores of people dream to play for the country and only the best 15 are selected to represent the country.
