During the first day’s play of the WTC Final, the most talked about thing was whether India made a big mistake by not including R Ashwin in the playing-XI in order to feed the fourth pacer. Ricky Ponting also raised questions on this during the commentary. He said that grass was definitely visible on the pitch from above. But, the wicket is dry and if India had landed with R Ashwin then it would have been a different matter.
