Big blow to Delhi
Delhi Capitals opening batsman Prithvi Shaw has been ruled out of the team’s next two league matches. Delhi’s assistant coach Shane Watson said on Thursday that ‘he has been suffering from fever for the last two weeks and will not be able to come in the next matches’. Shaw has not played in the team’s last three matches and captain Rishabh Pant also said that Shaw has got typhoid. Shaw had fever and has been admitted to the hospital. He played in the match against Lucknow Super Giants on May 1.
Will not be able to play next match
Watson told the ‘grade cricketer’, ‘I don’t know what the investigation revealed.’ He said, ‘But he had fever for the last two weeks, so the reason for this was to find out what happened to him.’ Watson said, ‘Not playing him will be our loss. Hope he gets well soon but unfortunately he will not be fit till our last two matches.

Earlier on Sunday, Delhi players were isolated as a Delhi net bowler was also found to be Kovid-19 positive earlier. Shaw’s exit is a big setback for Delhi as he is one of the deadliest batsmen in the team.
