New Delhi. Shubman Gill’s catch was taken correctly or the ball hit the ground. This dispute of the World Test Championship final is not taking its name to be resolved. Even though the umpire gave out to Shubman Gill, but Indian cricketers and fans could not digest this decision. Channel Star Sports, which is telecasting the World Test Championship final live, has released a video by tweeting, in which the situation becomes clear to a large extent as to what happened after all.
Australia gave India a difficult target of 444 runs to win the World Test Championship trophy. India had scored 41 runs in 7 overs in response to this. The first ball of the eighth over went to the slip by taking the edge of Shubman Gill’s bat, which was caught by Cameron Green and appealed for out. Umpire gave out. But after the TV replays came out, there was a ruckus. Shubman Gill was angry with the umpire’s decision. From the former cricketer to the fans looked angry. However, the Australian team and fans were happy to give Shubman out.
Indian commentators strongly objected to the decision to give out to Shubman Gill. Especially Sunil Gavaskar and Ravi Shastri clearly said that there was so much gap between Cameron Green’s fingers that the ball was easily touching the ground. That’s why Shubman should not have been given out.
Fireworks on and off the field!@RaviShastriOfc and #SunilGavaskar make a strong case for Shubman Gill’s catch being NOT OUT.
