Royal Challengers Bangalore’s star batsman Virat Kohli is not able to perform well in the Indian Premier League i.e. IPL 2022 season. In such a situation, cricket veteran cricketers, including former head coach of Team India Ravi Shastri, have said that they need rest, but former cricketer Aakash Chopra does not agree with this. He says that if Virat Kohli, who is struggling for runs in IPL, does not play, then where will he get form. Aakash Chopra says that he has to come out in the field to fight.
Commentator Aakash Chopra says Kohli should continue to play to find his form. Chopra also asked the veterans that if they stop playing, how will they score runs? In a Q&A session on his YouTube channel, Chopra said, “Tough question. Everyone is coming up with their own theory. It’s not that Virat is not getting rest. Obviously, he is playing for three to four months.” But he has skipped various matches in different formats in recent times.”
He continued, “How will he score runs if he stops playing? To win a fight, you have to fight it in the field. You have to fall, get up and run again. There was a six-month COVID break. Did anything change? I personally feel he should keep playing.” Virat Kohli has been able to score 128 runs in 9 matches played so far for RCB in IPL 2022, out of which he scored 48 runs in one innings. Apart from this, we have not got to see any big innings with the bat of Virat Kohli.
