Flop Players In IPL 2022: So far, many young players have dominated IPL 2022. Mega Auction was done before the start of the season, where all the franchises had bought many big players by spending crores of rupees. But in this auction, many teams have made a big mistake and bet on some players who have been flops throughout the season. So far 65 matches have been played in the league and all of them have not been able to perform much.
The Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) franchise surprised everyone by retaining Abdul Samad and Umran Malik, apart from Kane Williamson, before the mega auction. Abdul Samad is a young all-rounder. Abdul Samad was retained by Sunrisers Hyderabad for Rs 4 crore, but he was absolutely a flop. In this season, Abdul Samad got to play only 2 matches, after which Abdul Samad was dropped from the team’s playing XI. In these 2 matches, he had scored only 4 runs and he could not take a single wicket.
Last season’s hero Varun Chakravarthy failed completely in this season. He is battling very bad form in IPL 2022. He was retained by Kolkata Knight Riders for Rs 8 crore. In this season, Varun Chakravarthy has taken only 6 wickets in 10 matches and has spent runs with an economy of 8.40. Last season, Chakraborty took 18 wickets in 17 matches.
Venkatesh Iyer has been a complete flop in IPL 2022. He has consistently failed to play big innings. Kolkata Knight Riders retained Venkatesh Iyer for Rs 8 crore. Iyer has scored only 182 runs in 11 matches played in the current season at an average of 18.20. They are not able to stay on the crease even far to score runs. This season only 1 fifty has been seen with his bat.
