The 6th edition of the Abu Dhabi T10 League is to be played in the UAE from 23 November. This short format of cricket, which started in 2017, has attracted the attention of fans in the recent past. T10 has not found a place in international cricket yet, but some countries have started adopting it. Seeing the success of this format in UAE, Sri Lanka has also decided to organize T10 league at its place. In view of the growing popularity of the T10 league, not one or two but as many as 5 Indian players will participate in the UAE this year.
Traditionally, Indian male cricketers have stayed away from overseas franchise leagues due to the BCCI’s exclusivity policy. But retired players have complete freedom to play in foreign leagues. In such a situation, Indian players will also be seen spreading fire in the T10 league this year.
If we talk about the Indian players participating in the T10 league this time, the biggest name among them is Suresh Raina. Raina retired from international cricket in 2020 along with former captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni. After this, in 2022, he did not find any buyer in IPL as well.
Apart from Raina, turbanators Harbhajan Singh, S Sreesanth, Stuart Binny and Abhimanyu Mithun will be seen playing in this league.
Let us tell you, Suresh Raina will play for the defending champions Deccan Gladiators in the Abu Dhabi T20 League. On the other hand, Harbhajan Singh has been included in his team by the runners-up Delhi Bulls. Apart from these, Sreesanth will play for Bangla Tigers, Stuart Binny for New York Strikers and Abhimanyu Mithun for Northern Warriors.
T10 League 2022 will start from 23 November, while the final match of this tournament will be played on Sunday 4 December.
