New Delhi. Former Australian cricketer Shane Warne may have left this world. But, he has left such a mark on cricket that even today he is mentioned. There is hardly any spinner of the current era who does not want to learn bowling tricks from Shane Warne. Well, he has now left this world. He died in Thailand last year and everyone was shocked by the death of this legendary leg-spinner. Indian spinner Kuldeep Yadav is also included in this.

Kuldeep Yadav got a chance to talk to Shane Warne many times as well as learn the tricks of bowling. There was a strong bond between the two. Recently, Kuldeep along with his spin partner Yuzvendra Chahal reached the show Break Fast with Champions. In this, he told that for him the news of Shane Warne’s death was no less than a shock. He said on the show that when I came to know that Warne is no more in this world, I felt that someone has gone away. Tears welled up in my eyes. I spoke to him on the phone only 10 days before his death.

On this show, Kuldeep Yadav talked about the Australia tour of 2018-19. When Shane Warne encouraged him. Kuldeep played only one Test on that tour and that happened in Sydney. Kuldeep took 5 wickets in this match. Recalling that match, Kuldeep said, “I was nervous during the 2019 Sydney Test. Warne used to meet me every morning before the match and once he told me that I don’t care how you are bowling. Just keep a smile on your face. I remember I took 5 wickets in that Test and dedicated it to Shane Warne. There were tears in his eyes too. He could not believe it. He had a huge impact on my career and life.

Kuldeep further said on the show, “I first met Shane Warne in 2017. Then I was just watching them. I just kept listening to him for 10 minutes. I have also gone to his house. I am proud that I was able to befriend someone whom I grew up watching on TV.
