New Delhi. Pakistan cricket team opener Ahmed Shehzad has been out of the team for a long time. He was dropped from the team about 3 years ago. Since then he was not taken care of. When he was dropped from the team, at that time Shahzad was injured apart from being out of form. Shahzad last played for Pakistan in the year 2019. He has not played Test and ODI matches since 2017. He has now given a statement on being dropped from the team. Ahmed Shehzad says that his career was ruined because of Waqar Younis.
In the year 2016, Waqar Yunus presented a report. In which it was said that Umar Akmal and Ahmed Shahzad should play domestic cricket. Due to which they can regain their place in the team. Shahzad was upset with these comments of former coach Waqar. He believed that such discussions should be done face to face. To do so, he challenged the former head coach.
In an interview given to Cricket Pakistan, Ahmed Shehzad said, ‘I have not seen that report myself. But a Pakistan Cricket Board official told me that this comment was made about me. But I believe that such things should be discussed face to face. I am ready to face those challenges. Then we will see who is right and who is wrong. Because of him my career was ruined. It was a pre-planned method. He wanted to kill two birds with one stone.
‘People can’t stand success’
30-year-old cricketer Ahmed Shehzad expressed his disappointment over not being supported by senior players. He says that Virat Kohli made his debut around the same time. He progressed under the guidance of MS Dhoni. While his career declined. According to Shehzad, ‘I have said this before and will say it again. Virat Kohli’s career progressed. Because he found MS Dhoni. But unfortunately people in Pakistan cannot tolerate your success. Our senior players and former cricketers cannot digest seeing someone succeed. Which is unfortunate for Pakistan cricket.
