Aito M7 electric SUV with 195 KM range launched, know price


Huawei-backed electric mobility company Aito has reportedly launched a new electric SUV called the Aito M7. This car is currently launched in China. This is the second electric car in the company’s portfolio. Earlier, Aito has launched the M5 electric car in China. The latest M7 electric SUV is capable of extracting a maximum range of 195 km on a single charge and can accelerate from 0-100 kmph in 4.8 seconds.

Pandaily’s accordingThe Aito M7 comes in three editions with prices starting from RMB 3,20,000 (roughly Rs. 37.90 lakhs). Its most expensive model has been launched in RMB 3,79,800 (about Rs 45 lakh). The first delivery of the car is expected in early August. Bookings are currently open while test drives will reportedly begin on July 23. This car has been designed by Huawei and the responsibility of its marketing has also been taken by Huawei, but it has been made by Seres.

The rear-wheel-drive model of the EV gets a 1.5T range extender with an electric motor of 90W power and 200kW. The four-wheel-drive model comes equipped with a 130kW front motor. The specialty of its four-wheel-drive model is that the car can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.8 seconds. The battery pack of the rear-wheel-drive model can extract a range of 195 km as compared to 165 km of the four-wheel-drive model. Overall, the rear-wheel-drive model offers a range of 1,220 km on a full fuel and full charge, while the four-wheel-drive model offers a range of 1,100 km.

The smart cockpit of the new SUV comes with enhanced driving experience and runs on Huawei’s HarmonyOS. Huawei says users can access their smartphone apps directly from the cockpit’s center screen. There are six exterior and four interior color combinations available for the new Huawei-Seres Aito model.
