Anand Mahindra’s Mahindra XUV400 will compete with Tata Nexon EV with 437 km range, watch video

Mahindra is about to launch its latest electric car XUV400 on 8 September. The company recently unveiled its upcoming electric SUV lineup to the world in the UK, where the company also unveiled a brand new platform – INGLO, on which Mahindra’s upcoming electric cars will be based. Although the XUV400 electric car to be introduced after about a week will not be based on this platform, but it will be the electric version of the upcoming Mahindra electric car XUV300. There are still a few days left for the launch, but on Wednesday, Mahindra & Mahindra Chairman Anand Mahindra shared a teaser of the car.

Anand Mahindra has shared the teaser of the upcoming XUV400 electric car on Twitter. Although the teaser does not provide any information about the design or any specification of the car apart from confirming the name and launch date, but from the front light flashing in the dark, it can be inferred that this electric car will be the eXUV300 electric shown at the 2020 Auto Expo. corresponds to the concept.

Some of the key features of the eXUV300 included top-mounted L-size LED DRLs, sleek headlamps, close-off front grille, body cladding, rear spoiler and sharp tail lamps. At the same time, in the teaser of the XUV400, we get to see the charging port and grille, in which the twin-peak logo of the company is visible. The grille is closed, as it is obviously an electric car, which does not have the engine under the bonnet, thus eliminating the need for air intakes.

The new XUV400 may come as an electric version of the XUV300, but the name is different probably because the company wants to differentiate the car from the XUV300 compact SUV. One reason for this is that the upcoming electric car may come with a length of 4.2 metres.

At present, there is no official information about the range and power of this car, but since the direct competition of XUV400 will be with the best-selling Tata Nexon EV in the electric car market, then it would not be wrong to guess that Mahindra will increase the range of this car to Nexon EV Max. Will try to keep around. Let us tell you that the full charge range of the basic Nexon EV is 312 km and the range of the Max model is 437 km.
