New Delhi. Fans got a big setback on Wednesday to see the great batsman Sachin Tendulkar’s son Arjun Tendulkar playing in the IPL. Arjun got injured during the practice session of Mumbai Indians and had to be ruled out for the entire season. Giving this information, Mumbai Indians said that Simarjit Singh has been included in the team for the remaining matches of IPL-14 in his place.
Left-arm fast bowler Arjun was added to his team by defending champions Mumbai earlier this year. According to a statement issued by Mumbai Indians, ‘Mumbai Indians have added Simarjit Singh to their team in place of injured Arjun Tendulkar for the rest of the IPL-2021 season. Right-arm fast bowler Simarjeet has started practicing with the team after completing the mandatory quarantine as per IPL guidelines.
The special thing is that Arjun has not even been able to debut in the IPL yet. He was bought by the Mumbai franchise in the auction last year for a base price of 20 lakhs and included in the team. He was currently a part of the practice session with the batsmen of the team as a net bowler. However, he has not been able to make it to the playing XI in any match so far.
