The Australian team has already announced its playing XI, but England has not yet announced the playing XI. England fast bowler James Anderson has been ruled out of the first Test. In such a situation, former Australian cricketer Shane Warne has selected England’s probable playing XI for the first Test. Warne also said that Anderson’s absence in the team is a big loss for the visiting team.

Shane Warne tweeted, ‘The Ashes We all know the playing XI of the Australian team, but what should the playing XI of England be like? Jimmy Anderson’s absence is a big blow to the visiting team. According to me the team should be like – Joe Burns, Jack Crowley, David Malan, Joe Root (captain), Jonny Bairstow, Ben Stokes, Jos Buttler, Ollie Robinson, Mark Wood, Stuart Broad, Jack Leach.

The first test match of the Ashes series is to be played from 8 December, the second test match from 16 December, the third test match from 26 December, the fourth test match from 5 January and the fifth test match from 14 January. Since the T20 World Cup, both the teams are busy preparing for the Ashes.
