New Delhi. The interruption of rain on the last day of the first Test match between England and Australia at Edgbaston kept the cricket fans worried for a long time. In the first innings of the first Test of the Ashes, England scored 393 runs, in response to which Australia’s first innings ended on 386 runs. England had scored 273 runs in their second innings, after adding the first innings lead of 7 runs, England’s score was 280 runs and Australia got a target of 281 runs to win. At the end of the fourth day of the match, Australia’s second innings score was 107 runs for three wickets and Khawaja 34 and night watchman Scott Boland were at the crease after scoring 13 runs.
Usman Khawaja, who made several records during his century innings (141 runs) in the first innings, made a different record on Tuesday as soon as he landed at the crease. Today, he included his name in the selected batsmen batting on all five days of Test cricket. So far 12 batsmen had achieved the feat of batting on all five days of the Test. Pakistan-born Khawaja’s name has been added to this list as the 13th batsman.

Day 4 of the Test: England’s second innings was reduced to 273 runs and Australia’s score at stumps was 107 for three and Scott Boland (13 not out) along with Khawaja (34 not out) were at the crease.
Day 5 of the Test: As soon as he came down for batting on Tuesday, he made a rare record of batting on all five days of the test.
India’s MS Jayasimha became the first batsman
Including Khawaja, so far 13 batters have made a record of batting on all five days of the test. India’s ML Jayasimha first achieved this feat in the year 1960.
