New Delhi. Australia started the T20 series against Sri Lanka by 10 wickets in the first T20 (AUS vs SL 1st T20) on Tuesday. Pacer Josh Hazlewood did an amazing job and took 4 wickets for just 16 runs. After this, David Warner and captain Aaron Finch gave the team an easy victory with a century partnership. Warner made 70 while Finch returned unbeaten on 61. With this win, Australia have taken a 1-0 lead in the 3-match T20I series.

After this Australia achieved the target in 14 overs without losing any wicket. Finch hit the winning six off Dushmanta Chamira. A total of 19 runs were scored in this 14th over of Dushmanta’s innings.
Charit Asalanka scored the most runs for the Sri Lankan team after getting the invitation to bat first. He contributed 38 runs in 34 balls with the help of 3 fours and 1 six. Opener Pathum Nisanka scored 36 while Gunatilka scored 26 runs. Hazlewood took 4 wickets for Australia while Mitchell Starc got 3 wickets. Kane Richardson also took 1 wicket in his name.
David Warner And on the basis of Captain Finch, Australia achieved the target without losing any wicket. Finch hit 4 fours and as many sixes in his innings of 40 balls. Warner played 44 balls and hit 9 fours during his unbeaten innings of 70 runs. The second T20 match of the series will be played on this ground on 8 June i.e. Wednesday.
