Babar Azam scored a century in the 4th ODI against New Zealand

New Delhi. Pakistan’s captain Babar Azam’s bat is not taking the name of stopping. Babar scored a century in the fourth ODI against New Zealand being played in Karachi. He played an inning of 107 runs in 117 balls. This is Babar’s 18th century in ODIs and the best score against New Zealand. Earlier, Babar had scored an unbeaten 101 against New Zealand in 2019. On the basis of Babar Azam’s century, Pakistan scored 334 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in 50 overs in the fourth ODI against New Zealand. Babar scored 50 plus for the third time in this series. Babar has scored 7th century in ODIs as captain.

Babar Azam also broke a world record in the fourth ODI against New Zealand. He completed his 5000 runs in ODIs as soon as he scored his 19th run in this match. He became the fastest player to complete 5000 runs in ODIs. Babar has played 97 innings for this. Earlier, this record was in the name of South African batsman Hashim Amla. He achieved this feat in 101 innings. At the same time, former Indian captain Virat Kohli had completed 5 thousand ODI runs in 114 innings. That is, Babar has achieved this position in very less innings than him.

Vivian Richards and David Warner are also among the top-5 players who completed the fastest 5000 runs in ODIs. Richards has scored 114 equal to Virat and Warner has scored so many runs in 115 innings.
