Babar Azam surpasses record of matthew hayden as most runs in debut t20 world cup now pakistan consultant

New Delhi. Pakistan captain Babar Azam has made a special record in the T20 World Cup. He scored 39 runs in 34 balls against Australia (AUS vs PAK) in the second semi-final match of the T20 World Cup on Thursday and left behind the legendary Matthew Hayden. The most important thing is that Hayden is currently the batting consultant of Pakistan.

Babar Azam is playing in the T20 World Cup for the first time in his career. With this, he made the record for scoring the most runs in his debut T20 World Cup. Before him, this record was in the name of Matthew Hayden, one of Australia’s legendary batsmen. Babar now has a total of 303 runs in 6 matches while Hayden scored 265 runs in the year 2007. Interestingly, Hayden is currently in the dressing room of the Pakistani team and has been made the batting consultant for this global tournament.

Talking about the match, Australia captain Aaron Finch won the toss and invited Pakistan to bat first. Babar and Mohammad Rizwan gave a good start to the team. Both added 71 runs in 10 overs for the first wicket. Adam Zampa got Babar caught by David Warner on the last ball of the 10th over. Babar hit 5 fours in his innings of 34 balls.
