Karachi. Four players of the Balochistan team were found positive in the Kovid-19 test on Wednesday, forcing the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) to make changes in the matches of the National T20 Championship. The PCB, however, did not reveal the names of the players. He said that tests of all the other participants and their families were conducted on Tuesday, in which the results of all have come negative.
The PCB said, “Four players from Balochistan have been kept in isolation for 10 days and all other players have come negative in the test and will continue to participate in the tournament.” Balochistan was to play North Punjab on Wednesday, but Now the timing of this match has been changed so that North Punjab will now play South Punjab.
The PCB also confirmed that the players selected in the Pakistan squad for the upcoming T20 World Cup will not play in the national competition after Thursday as they will have to enter the ‘bio-bubble’ of the tournament as per ICC guidelines.
