Bangladesh scored their highest ODI score against Ireland

Bangladesh is currently playing an ODI series against Ireland after defeating India in the home ODI series last year. After registering a record-breaking victory in the first ODI, Bangladesh batted brilliantly in the second match being played in Sylhet.
Batting first, Bangladesh scored 349 runs in 50 overs at the loss of 6 wickets. This is Bangladesh’s biggest score in ODIs. Bangladesh broke the record of their biggest ODI score within 48 hours. Bangladesh had scored 338 for 8 wickets against Ireland in the first ODI in Sylhet and now scored 349 runs in the second ODI.
Mushfiqur Rahim scored a brilliant century in the second ODI for Bangladesh. Rahim completed his hundred in just 60 balls. This is also a record. Mushfiqur Rahim became the fastest batsman to score a century in ODIs from Bangladesh. He completed his century on the last ball of Bangladesh’s innings. Earlier, the record for the fastest century in ODIs from Bangladesh was in the name of Shakib Al Hasan. He completed a hundred in 63 balls against Zimbabwe in 2009.
Rahim hit 14 fours and 2 sixes
Mushfiqur Rahim hit 14 fours and 2 sixes in his innings of 100 runs. That is, he hit 68 runs in 16 balls. Rahim came out to bat in the 34th over in the second ODI against Ireland. At that time Bangladesh’s score was 193 runs at the loss of 4 wickets. Rahim rained fours and sixes as soon as he came and completed his 50 runs in just 33 balls. After this, he started playing more openly and completing the next 50 runs in 27 balls, scored a century and got his name registered in the record book.
Two more batsmen from Bangladesh, Najmul Hossain Shanto (73) and Liton Das (70) scored half-centuries. Bangladesh’s innings had 31 fours and 8 sixes.
