BCA News: District team declared for Under-19, Uttam got captaincy, Vivek became vice-captain

Motihari. The list of 20 players of East Champaran cricket team has been published to participate in Randhir Verma Inter District Cricket Tournament Under-19 to be organized under the aegis of Bihar Cricket Association (BCA). Out of these players, 16 players will be selected for the final team. The Convener of the Bihar Cricket Association Tournament Committee cum East Champaran District Cricket Association (ICDCA) Secretary Dnyaneshwar Gautam told that the selection list of 20 players is being published for this tournament at the local Khel Bhavan Auditorium in Motihari on Sunday. Out of which the 16-member East Champaran Under-19 cricket team will be announced.

He told that under the supervision of coach Abhishek Kumar, a training session of 20 selected players will be organized at Ground-1 of the local Gandhi Maidan. If the Convener is to be believed, the BCA Tournament Committee will soon announce the U-19 Cricket Tournament (Western Zone) date. After the announcement of the date, out of these 20 players, the 16-member U-19 cricket team will be announced. The remaining 4 players will remain as standby.

Uttam will captain the team

The team will be captained by all-rounder Uttam Kumar Sunny during this tournament, while Vivek Kumar will take over as the vice-captain. Apart from Dnyaneshwar Gautam, ECDCA selection committee members Ramprakash Sinha, Sanjay Kumar Tunna, media in-charge Pritesh Ranjan, Rashid Jamal Khan, Gulab Khan and coach Abhishek Kumar alias Chhotu were present on the occasion. After the selection in the team, a lot of enthusiasm is being seen in the players.
