The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has once again extended the deadline for purchasing tender documents for new IPL teams. The Indian board has now kept its last date for 20 October. The Steering Committee of the Indian Premier League (IPL) had on August 31 issued the document ‘Invitation for Tender (ITT)’ on payment of tender fee of Rs 10 lakh. This amount will be non-refundable (non-refundable). The BCCI had earlier extended its date till October 10 and extended it by five days.

But now once again its date has been pushed forward. A BCCI statement said, “On the request of the interested parties, the BCCI has now decided to extend the date of purchase of ITT documents to October 20, 2021.” Interested parties can purchase the document ‘Invitation for Tender (ITT)’ on payment of tender fee of Rs.10 lakh.
It will contain all the information related to the eligibility to purchase the team, the bidding process, rights of the new teams proposed. Any company desirous of submitting a bid will be required to purchase Invitation to Tender (ITT). The statement said that mere purchase of documents would not entitle one to bid for an IPL team, but would also have to comply with other conditions and parameters. Further, BCCI reserves the right to cancel or modify the bidding process at any stage without assigning any reason thereof.
