Chennai Super Kings, Kolkata Knight Riders, Rajasthan Royals, Sunrisers Hyderabad, Mumbai Indians, Punjab Kings, Delhi Capitals and Gujarat Titans have shown interest in acquiring the ownership rights of the tournament teams. The BCCI will announce the names of the team owners on January 25. At the same time, for the first time in Pakistan, women’s T20 league is to be held. But looking at the preparations of the BCCI and the timing of the tournament, the Pakistan Cricket Board has now taken a step back.

According to the news, BCCI can conduct auction for women’s IPL in February. There is a plan to conduct the tournament in March. The PCB had also planned to have a women’s T20 league in March itself, but seeing the large-scale preparations being made by the BCCI, it started facing the threat of failure of its league. In such a situation, the PCB has decided to postpone the Women’s T20 League till September.

Registration has to be done by January 26

According to the information given by the BCCI to the players regarding the Women’s IPL, the players will have to register their names for the auction by 5 pm on January 26. Both capped and uncapped players can register their names for the auction.

Three price categories of 50 lakhs, 40 lakhs and 30 lakhs have been kept for capped players. At the same time, there will be a price category of 20 lakhs and 10 lakhs for uncapped players. Registration in this league will be same as in IPL. After the registration process of the players is completed, the auction list will be prepared and given to the team owners. Players who will not be selected for the auction may get a chance to play in the tournament as replacement players.
