Ben Stokes England Test Captain: The England Cricket Board on Thursday announced the new captain of the Test team. After the resignation of Joe Root, the board has entrusted this responsibility to all-rounder Ben Stokes. Stokes was the vice-captain of the Test team, so it was expected that he would get the captaincy. After being appointed the captain of the Test team, Stokes said that he was honoured.

Ben Stokes said, “I am honored to have the opportunity to lead the England Test team. It’s a real privilege, and I’m excited to start this summer.
