Bhuvi has been dropped from T20 and ODI squad
Bhuvneshwar played the last ODI in January
new Delhi. Veteran fast bowler Bhuvneshwar Kumar of the Indian cricket team, once called a death over specialist, has been dropped from the ODI and T20 team. The Indian selectors on Tuesday announced the squad for the upcoming 3-match T20 and 3-match ODI series against Sri Lanka (IND vs SL). Bhuvneshwar’s name was not there in both the teams. In recent times, Bhuvi has not proved to be as effective in limited overs cricket as he used to be earlier. In such a situation, now the question is arising whether at the age of 32, the career of this pacer is on the verge of ending.
Right-arm fast bowler Bhuvneshwar Kumar played his last ODI against South Africa in Johannesburg in January this year. Since then he has been a part of the T20 team continuously. However, now he has been dropped from the T20 team as well. Talking about T20, Bhuvi played T20 International match against New Zealand in Napier in November last month. Young pacers Shivam Mavi and Mukesh Kumar have got a chance for the first time in the T20 team against Sri Lanka. The way young bowlers have been included in T20 clearly shows that the selectors are now looking towards the future.
