DRS Controversy: In the IPL match played between Mumbai Indians (MI) and Chennai Super Kings (CSK) on Thursday, there has been a big controversy regarding DRS. In fact, Chennai Super Kings (CSK) batsman Devon Conway could not use the DRS in this match after the umpire gave himself out LBW, due to the light going off at the Wankhede Stadium. The facility was not available at that time.
Big cheating in the match with CSK?
Chennai Super Kings coach Stephen Fleming has now given a big statement after this incident. Terming the non-availability of DRS facility as ‘unfortunate’, Stephen Fleming said that some decisions went against him during the match against Mumbai Indians in IPL. Due to a short circuit at the Wankhede Stadium, DRS facility was not available till the first 10 balls of Chennai’s innings, which caused a loss to his team.
Now the coach of the team made these serious allegations
Chennai Super Kings coach Stephen Fleming said, ‘It was unfortunate that this happened at that time. We were a little disappointed, but that’s also part of the game. At that time some decisions did not go in our favor. It was definitely not a good start for us.
Chennai’s chances of reaching the playoffs are over
Chennai’s chances of reaching the playoffs also ended with a five-wicket loss at the hands of Mumbai. Fleming, however, wants to look at the positive aspects. Fleming said, ‘There were some really positive aspects to us. The bowling of Mukesh Chaudhary and Simarjit Singh with the new ball was excellent. In such a situation, on the return of Deepak Chahar, we will have some good options to bowl with the new ball.
What is CSK’s plan next?
Fleming said, ‘We did not play as well as we should have shown. Now that we are out of IPL 2022, we can try other players in the remaining two matches. Mumbai’s bowling coach Shane Bond lauded the excellent performance of his bowlers in the last few matches. Bond said, ‘As a bowling unit, we have done better in the last four-five matches. Bumrah bowled well throughout the season, but he didn’t get as many wickets as he should have.
