Brands like Okinawa, Ampere, Hero Electric beat Ola and Ather in June sales

Electric two-wheeler brands have reportedly witnessed a year-on-year growth of 938 per cent in June 2022. At the same time, the sales of electric scooters and motorcycles have increased by about 7 percent month-on-month. Talking about month-to-month, Ampere and Hero Electric were seen at the top of the list of top brands. At the same time, there has been a tremendous decline in the sales of Ola, Okinawa and Pure EV.

Talking about Ampere, the company sold 268 units in June 2021, while 6,540 units were sold in June 2022. This is a YoY increase of 2340 percent. The company sold 5,836 units in May 2022, which is a MoM growth of 12 percent.

Hero Electric stood at number 3 with sales of 6,503 electric two-wheelers in June 2022. This is 442 percent more than the 1,200 units sold in June 2021. Talking about month-to-month, the company sold 2,851 units in May 2022, which is 128 percent more.

June proved to be a bad month for Ola Electric. The brand ranked fourth as it registered a 36 percent month-on-month decline. In May 2022, the company sold 9,255 electric scooters, but in June 2022, the company could sell only 5,883 e-scooters.

Ather Energy sold 319 units in June 2021, while in June 2022 the company sold 1,096 percent more, i.e. 3,816 electric scooters. At the same time, the company has sold 14 percent more electric scooters month-on-month.

Revolt Intellicorp tops in terms of YoY growth. The company sold 59 units in June 2021, but in June 2022 the company sold 2,423 electric motorcycles, which is a growth of 4007 percent. At the same time, the company’s MoM sales growth was 53 percent higher.

On the other hand, talk about TVS Motor and Bajaj Auto, TVS did 204 percent better business YoY and saw MoM growth of 339 percent. Whereas, Bajaj Auto registered a YoY growth of 920 percent and 4 percent MoM growth.
