Brett Lee names Indian stars who will rule T20 World Cup – Latest Cricket News

Former fast bowler Brett Lee has described India as a strong contender for the title along with Australia in the T20 World Cup. He also said that Australia will be successful in winning their first T20 World Cup title. The Australian team will start their campaign in the tournament with the Super 12 match against South Africa on Saturday. Brett Lee also said that Sunrisers Hyderabad’s behavior in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021 has shaken David Warner’s confidence, but the opener is a big stage player and his role will be crucial in Australia’s success in the T20 World Cup. Sunrisers removed Warner from the captaincy in the first leg of the IPL this year and was dropped from the playing XI after a mediocre performance in the first two matches when the season resumed in the UAE.

Brett Lee wrote in a column for the International Cricket Council (ICC), “We haven’t had much success in this format – it’s time to change that and we have a team that can win the title.” It won’t be easy though especially when you see how strong the teams of England, India and New Zealand are. But this Australian team is full of talent and I think David Warner will be the key. I would like to say that he has saved runs for the upcoming matches. He has been treated very harshly in the IPL and this will shake his confidence to some extent, but he performs well on the big stage. Everything will be fine from here because your level is fixed.

T20 World Cup: Australia’s legendary batsman told, which player will be under more pressure in India-Pakistan match

Lee, who played 76 Tests and 221 ODIs for Australia, said that apart from Warner, Mitchell Starc and Josh Hazlewood would do well for Australia. Lee has no doubt that India are the top contenders for the title and expressed hope that batsman KL Rahul and pacer Mohammed Shami will do well. “I think with the top four or five batsmen and bowling attack, India are probably going to be the top contenders for the title. Looking at the performance of the last few months, in my view, Lokesh Rahul will be the top scorer of the tournament and Mohammed Shami will be the highest wicket taker.
