Buxer News: Jyoti Prakash won gold in Boxing State Championship, now eyeing National

Buxar. Chausa youth Jyotiprakash has won the gold medal in the two-day Open Boxing State Championship held at Patliputra Sports Complex in Patna. Jyoti Prakash has brought laurels to Buxar district including the city by winning gold medal in 51 to 54 kg weight. The tournament was organized by Bihar’s Boxing State Secretary Rajeev Singh. Jyoti Prakash told that the two-day open challenge game organized on March 10 to 11 was organized at the state level. Hundreds of participants from Bihar took part in this competition.

Jyotiprakash wants to play for the country

Jyotiprakash said that for the first time in the year 2019, he had participated in the State Championship. There was victory in that too. Boxer Jyotiprakash is the son of Lalji Chaurasia, a resident of Chausa village in the district. Jyoti Prakash said that he has been the state champion for three consecutive years. He gave the credit of victory to his mentor Abhinav Giri. After getting training under whose company, he is continuously getting gold medal in the State Championship.

Desire to win the country’s medal

Jyotiprakash said that he has a strong desire to play boxing for the country and bring laurels to the country by winning a medal. On the other hand, while congratulating Rohit Ojha, the head of the panchayat on winning gold in the state level competition, he said that an atmosphere of joy has been created in the district including the entire village on the victory of Jyoti Prakash. He said that the people of the village are feeling proud.
