India vs Australia Border-Gavaskar Trophy to be held in February

new Delhi. Cameron Green, the rising all-rounder of the Australian cricket team, is very excited about the upcoming tour of India. However, it is not yet decided for Green to visit India in February, as he was injured during the second Test match of the 3-match series against South Africa, after which he had to be ruled out of the third Test match. Injured Green says that he will do everything possible from his side to get himself fit for the tour of India.

The 23-year-old Green, who was sold for the second highest price in the IPL 2023 auction, has suffered a finger injury due to which he will not be able to play in the third and final Test match in Sydney. Green, however, wants to be fit as soon as possible for the ‘mentally and physically’ challenging tour of India. The Border-Gavaskar Trophy is crucial for both India and Australia to make it to the final of the World Test Championship and Green said he does not want to miss out on such an important series.

Green eyeing Test series against India
Green said, ‘It is really hurting that I will not be able to play (in the last Test against South Africa in Sydney). I have played every match since my debut and in such a situation it would be a bit strange to watch Test cricket sitting at home. Despite the pain, this all-rounder batted in Australia’s first innings and scored a half-century. Green, bought by Mumbai Indians for Rs 17.5 crore in the IPL auction, is now eyeing the Indian series.

‘I am very excited about this tour’
According to Cricket Australia, Green said, ‘The atmosphere in Australia’s dressing room is fantastic and I will definitely miss it. I will do everything possible from my side to be fully fit for the tour of India. Many people talk about the Indian tour, how tough it is mentally and physically. This will be a very important tour for us. We are ready for this as always, so I am very excited about this tour.

Cameron Green scored an unbeaten 51 in the first innings of the Boxing Day Test match against South Africa in Melbourne. During this, he took 5 wickets in 117 balls. Earlier, Green also took 5 wickets in South Africa’s first innings.
