New Delhi. Veteran batsman Cheteshwar Pujara has got a place in the Indian team for the Test match against England starting on July 1. This match is a rescheduled Test match of last year’s series which will be played at Edgbaston. Team India is currently 2-1 ahead in the 5-match series and will win the series even if they get the match drawn. Earlier, the Indian team is playing a practice match against Leicestershire from Thursday, 23 June.
4 players of India in this practice match being played in Leicester Cheteshwar Pujara, Rishabh Pant, Jasprit Bumrah and the famous Krishna are representing Leicestershire. Pujara came out to bat on the second day of the match on Friday. There were high hopes from him but he got out without opening the account.

Leicestershire scored 101 for 4 in 26 overs till lunch on the second day. At present, the Indian team has a lead of 145 runs on the basis of first innings. Earlier, the Indian team declared its innings by scoring 246 runs for 8 wickets. Wicket-keeper batsman KS Bharat played an unbeaten innings of 70 runs for India. He hit 8 fours and 1 six in 111 balls.
Pujara has been representing the Indian Test team since January. He has a lot of experience in 95 Test matches. He previously played for Sussex County and scored two double centuries. Due to this great performance, he got a place in the Indian team. Pujara has so far scored a total of 6713 runs in Tests with the help of 18 centuries and 32 half-centuries.
