India’s left-arm wrist spinner Kuldeep Yadav has successfully undergone knee surgery on Wednesday. He suffered a knee injury during the ongoing Indian Premier League in UAE. He has informed about the surgery by sharing a photo on social media. He said that the operation was successful and the recovery process has started. Kuldeep, who plays for Kolkata Knight Riders in IPL, is out of the Indian team and will have to undergo a lengthy rehabilitation process before returning to competitive cricket.

Kuldeep wrote on his official Twitter page, ‘The operation was successful and the recovery process has started. Thanks everyone for the support. Now the focus is on completing the rehabilitation well and then getting back on the field and doing what I love to do as soon as possible. It was earlier reported that Kuldeep has suffered a serious knee injury and is likely to be out of action for most part of the upcoming domestic season. Also he has returned home from UAE.
Kuldeep from Kanpur has taken a total of 174 wickets in seven Tests, 65 ODIs and 23 T20 Internationals for India. He last played for India on the Sri Lanka tour. He took two wickets for 48 runs in ODIs and two wickets for 30 runs in T20 matches. He played one more ODI and one T20 but he did not get any wicket.
