Hyderabad’s team is out of the playoff race but Bangalore still has a chance to reach the top 2. Apart from this, 2 matches will be played in the CSA Provincial T20 Cup.
Bangalore vs Hyderabad from 7.30 pm
Royal Challengers Bangalore will look to register a big win against Sunrisers Hyderabad to keep their hopes of breaking into the top 2 alive. RCB, who are in the process of their maiden IPL title, are currently in third place with 16 points from 12 matches. Delhi Capitals is on top with 20 points followed by Chennai Super Kings (18). A win over Sunrisers will boost RCB’s morale ahead of their final match of the league stage against Delhi on Friday. If RCB wins both their matches, then they will get 20 points and have a chance to reach the top two.
After losing to Kolkata Knight Riders and Chennai at the start of the second leg, RCB made a good comeback and made it to the playoffs after winning three consecutive matches. The team led by Virat Kohli will try to continue this winning campaign. Kohli has not been able to score big so far but he seems to be in good rhythm. All-rounder Glenn Maxwell’s performance has been excellent. He scored his third consecutive fifty in the last match.
Hyderabad’s disappointing performance
On the other hand, Sunrisers would not even want to miss this season. His team is already out of the race for the playoffs due to consecutive defeats. They have won only two out of 12 matches and are at the last position in the table. In the second leg, they have registered only one win in five matches against Rajasthan Royals.
