This time not a single match of the IPL tournament will be played at the Holkar Stadium in Indore. IPL tournament is going to start from 31st March. But not a single match will be played in Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh.
For the last 5 years, the audience has been waiting for the IPL matches.
IPL matches were held in 2011 at Holkar Stadium in Indore. In this, Kochi Tuskers had held two matches, after that in 2017 and 2018 Punjab Kings XI made Holkar Stadium their home ground. Punjab Kings XI had organized three matches in 2017 and four matches in 2018, but after that, for the last five years, the audience is waiting for IPL matches. This time people expected that at least four matches would be held here, but as soon as the IPL schedule was released, they were disappointed.

74 matches of IPL tournament will be held in 12 cities
It was announced that 74 matches of the tournament would be played in 12 different cities of the country, but Indore is not included in it. Competitions were held in cities like Guwahati and Dharamshala, which were considered inferior to Indore. Due to this the people of Indore have become disheartened. People say that Indore is being discriminated against. Holkar is one of the best stadiums here. Many international matches are also happening here, but despite having good arrangements, it is beyond comprehension not to get matches. BCCI should think about this and considering the sentiments of the cricket fans of Indore, three to four matches must be held here.
