Durban. ICC Chief Executive Geoff Allardice said on Friday that she would try to include the T20 format in the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics. The ICC is trying to include cricket in the Los Angeles Games. A decision in this regard will be taken in the next two months.

Talking to the media on the sidelines of the board meeting, Allardice said, “We will propose that T20 cricket be included in the Olympics.” The Major Cricket League was launched in the US on Thursday, in which four of the six participating teams are owned by the IPL franchise owners.

The ICC CEO said, ‘A lot is happening in America and it is expected that this will promote the game. The introduction of MLC is one of them. He also said that the men’s T20 World Cup 2024 will be hosted by the US and Cricket West Indies.

When asked whether the practice of franchise league would harm international cricket, he replied in the negative. He said, ‘Franchise league is helping in promoting the game in many places. Due to this, cricket is reaching more and more people.
