After the match between England and New Zealand women’s team in the Commonwealth Games 2022 on Thursday night, the schedule of the semi-finals has been cleared. Hosts England were the table toppers by defeating the Kiwis by 7 wickets. In the semi-finals, Australia and India have moved from Group I, while England and New Zealand have managed to reach the next stage from Group B. In Semi-Final 1, the top of Group I i.e. Australia will face the second placed New Zealand in Group B, while the second placed Indian team in Group A will take on the topper of Group B i.e. England.
The first semi-final between Australia and New Zealand will be played on 6th August at the Edgbaston ground in Birmingham from 3.30 pm IST. At the same time, the second semi-final between England and India will start at 10.30 am at the same ground.

Both the teams winning the semi-final match will fight for the gold medal in the final match to be held on 7th August, while the losing team will also get another chance and will face each other for the bronze medal match on the same day. The gold medal match will start at 9.30 pm Indian time, while the bronze medal match has been kept at 2:30 pm.

India’s performance in the group stage has been great
The Indian team, which made its Commonwealth Games debut against Australia, had to face defeat at the hands of the Kangaroos. In the first thrilling match, Team India had to face defeat by 3 wickets. Ashley Gardner had snatched victory from India’s mouth with a half-century innings. After this, Team India made a strong comeback, defeating Pakistan by 8 wickets and Barbados by a huge margin of 100 runs. Hopefully the Indian team will do well against the hosts in the semi-finals as well. England has been unbeaten in this tournament so far.
