After the match, Delhi Capitals’ young captain Rishabh Pant looked very emotional, not only this, his eyes were also filled during the post match presentation. Pant said after the match that he has no words and will not be able to say anything at the moment.

When Pant was called to the presentation ceremony after the match, the disappointment was evident on his face, he said, ‘I have no words at the moment, I can’t say anything right now. We just believed in ourselves, tried to stay in the match as long as we could. The bowlers almost pulled the match back. But it was unfortunate for us that we could not win the match.

Pant further said, ‘He bowled brilliantly in the middle overs, we were stuck and could not even rotate the strike. Delhi Capitals are known for positive play and we will come back strong next year. We played very good cricket, yes there have been some ups and downs, but we will be positive, we will be there for each other, take care of each other and come back better next season.

Talking about the match, KKR won the toss and invited Delhi Capitals to bat. Delhi Capitals scored 135 for five in 20 overs, with Shikhar Dhawan contributing the highest of 36 runs, while Varun Chakraborty took two wickets. KKR made a brilliant start in reply, scoring 96 runs without losing a wicket. Venkatesh Iyer played a brilliant innings of 55 runs. Delhi Capitals came back strongly, but in the end Rahul Tripathi hit a six to take KKR to the final.
