Mahipal Lomror hit a half-century against Delhi Capitals

New Delhi. The 50th match of IPL 2023 is being played between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Delhi Capitals. In this match, Bangalore captain Faf Duplesey won the toss and decided to bat. Virat Kohli and Faf got RCB off to a good start. Both these batsmen added 51 runs in the powerplay without losing a wicket. Bangalore got the first blow in the 11th over. Faf Duplesey was dismissed after scoring 45 runs in 32 balls. After this, Glenn Maxwell was dismissed on the very first ball. Mahipal Lomror came out to bat at number four and he batted brilliantly and took Royal Challengers Bangalore to a big score.

Mahipal Lomror along with Virat Kohli added 55 runs in 32 balls for the third wicket. Virat Kohli got out after completing 50th Fifty of IPL. But, Mahipal continued batting fast from the other end and completed his 50 runs in the 19th over with a four. This is his first fifty in IPL. Lomror returned unbeaten after scoring 54 runs in 29 balls. He hit 6 fours and 3 sixes in his innings. Lomror made his IPA debut for Rajasthan Royals in 2018. His first half-century came after 5 years and 26 matches.

Lomror was bought by Delhi Daredevils (now Delhi Capitals) in 2016 for the first time in IPL. That year he also played in the Under-19 World Cup in Bangladesh. However, he did not get a chance to play for Delhi. After this Mahipal Lomror played for Rajasthan Royals till 2021. He made his debut for Rajasthan in 2018 only. In the mega auction of IPL 2022, Royal Challengers Bangalore bought this all-rounder for Rs 95 lakh and also retained him for the 2023 season and now this all-rounder has lived up to the trust of RCB.
