Amazing against Hyderabad
The 28-year-old all-rounder made his IPL debut as the No. 6 batsman. After this he landed at number five in two matches but again he was sent to number six. When he was sent to number eight, he was very disappointed. Powell said, ‘It was a little difficult for me in the beginning of IPL but I believed in myself. I had a conversation with Rishabh. Powell played long shots in the last over against Sunrisers, which did not give Warner a chance to complete the century. Powell said about the conversation with Warner about the last over, ‘At the beginning of the over I told him do you want me to take a run so that you can complete a century. He said, ‘Listen, cricket is not played like this. You should try to play as many long shots as possible and I did.
