Padikkal completes 1000 runs in IPL

Opening batsman Devdutt Padikkal, playing for Rajasthan Royals (RR) in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022, has completed his 1000 runs in the IPL. Padikkal scored 34 runs in 18 balls with the help of 3 fours and a six in the match played against KKR. During this innings, he also completed his 1000 runs in IPL. He achieved this feat in 35 innings and has become the joint third fastest Indian batsman to score 1000 runs in IPL along with Rishabh Pant. Padikkal (Devdutt Padikkal) beat players like Dhoni and Gautam Gambhir in this matter. Gambhir scored 36 innings and Dhoni-Rohit scored 1000 runs in 37 innings.

Fastest 1000 runs in IPL

The God of cricket Sachin Tendulkar is at the forefront of scoring the fastest 1000 runs in the IPL. Tendulkar had also completed 1000 runs in 31 innings, which is a record in IPL so far. After Sachin Tendulkar, the name of Suresh Raina comes second in this list, Raina did this feat in 34 innings.

After a stellar performance in domestic cricket for Karnataka, Padikkal played his first match for Royal Challengers Bangalore. Padikkal had already caught everyone’s attention by scoring 473 runs in 15 matches in the first season. Padikkal had scored 411 runs in 14 matches in the last season as well. In the mega auction of IPL 2022, Rajasthan Royals bought Padikkal for Rs 7.75 crore. He has scored 138 runs in 6 matches so far in this season too.
