New Delhi. Former all-rounder Abdul Razzaq, known for his explosive remarks, has given another statement this time regarding cricket relations between India and Pakistan (India vs Pakistan). He has said that the reason why the Indian cricket team does not have bilateral relations with Pakistan is because they know that they are a lower class team than us. Do India have fast bowlers or all-rounders like Pakistan or do you think there is no match? Responding to this question, Abdul Razzaq said that the kind of talent that Pakistan has, it is unparalleled, which is not in the Indian cricket team.
Abdul Razzaq while giving an interview to Hey News said, “I don’t think India can compete with Pakistan. The kind of talent that Pakistan has, it is completely different. I don’t think it is a good thing for cricket that matches between India and Pakistan are not happening. It used to be an exciting prospect and gave the players a chance to show how much pressure they could handle. So it’s not now. I think if this continues, people would have come to know that the kind of talent that Pakistan has, India does not have.”
Razzaq’s comments are not limited to the current group of cricketers from India and Pakistan. The former Pakistan all-rounder believes that Pakistan has always produced better players than India. He also drew comparisons between some of the greatest players of all time to have played cricket for both the countries to emphasize his point. Razzaq mentioned that these are all the reasons behind India’s decision not to compete against Pakistan anymore.
He said, “India also have a good team, I am not saying anything otherwise. Even they have good players. But if you look at it prospectively, we had Imran Khan, he had Kapil Dev. If compared, Imran Khan was much better. Then we had Wasim Akram, he didn’t have a player of that ability.” He added, “We had Javed Miandad, and he had Gavaskar. There is no comparison. Then we had Inzamam, Yusuf, Younis, Shahid Afridi… they had Dravid, Sehwag. Overall, Pakistan has always given good players. All these are big reasons, that’s why India doesn’t want to play against us.
