This entire trial was done under the supervision of ICMR i.e. Indian Council of Medical Research.

told It is learned that the drone covered the distance of 35 kilometers from the Government Institute of Medical Sciences (GIMS) located in Greater Noida to Jaypee Institute located in Noida Sector-62 in 15 minutes. It took more than an hour to complete the same work with an ambulance.

Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya has also shared the video of this trial. In his tweet, Mansukh Mandaviya wrote that preparing Indian healthcare for the future with ‘i-drone’. He informed that the trial run of delivery of blood bags through drones was successfully conducted.

The special thing was also that there was no change in blood in the delivery of blood bags through drone. This could have happened due to the vibration and temperature of the drone, but the blood bag reached its destination safe and sound. This work took only 15 minutes, while an ambulance took one and a half hours to cover the same distance of 35 kilometers.

This trial is being done under the supervision of ICMR for about 15 days. A team from Jaypee Institute is also involved in this work. The most important thing for the people involved in the team was to find out that there was no effect on the quality of the blood during the delivery. It is being said that its initial results have been good.
