New Delhi. Indian pacer Mohammad Siraj is now a part of the Indian team. In IPL, Siraj plays for RCB and on the strength of his strong bowling, managed to make a place in the Indian team. Siraj was with the team on the Indian team’s tour of Australia in the year 2021 and was also a part of India’s famous victory against the Kangaroos.

Motivation received from mother after father’s death
At the trailer launch of the upcoming Wes series ‘Bandon Mein Tha Dum’ on Voot, Siraj said, ‘It was very difficult for me. My father was also ill during IPL. But, my family did not tell about the seriousness of the matter. I came to know about his (father’s) condition when I landed in Australia. There the Kovid protocol was also to be followed. We had to be quarantined. After the practice was over, I came to know about the death of my father. At that time my mother gave me strength. He said, fulfill your father’s dream and give the country a chance to be proud. This was my motivation. I didn’t even know whether I would get a chance to play or not, there were senior bowlers in the team.

‘Didn’t know I would get a chance to play’
Siraj did not even know whether he would get a chance to play while the senior bowlers were in the team. Siraj said, ‘I finally got my chance in the second Test, when I put on my cap, I thought my father should have been here.’ Siraj got a place in the team after the injury of Mohammed Shami.
