England announced playing XI for Lord’s Test, Moeen Ali out, one Test player got place

New Delhi. England has announced its playing XI for the second Test match of the Ashes series against Australia (ENG vs AUS). The second Test match of the series between the two teams will be played at Lord’s from June 28. Experienced spinner Moeen Ali will not play in this Test match. England has included fast bowler Josh Tongue in the playing XI for the second Test in place of Moeen Ali, who has experience of playing only one Test match.

Australia is leading 1-0 in the 5-match Ashes Series 2023. Moeen Ali suffered a finger injury in the first Test match, after which he was doubtful to play in the next match. Young spinner Rehan Ahmed was included in the England team as cover for Moeen but did not get a chance in the playing XI. The selectors have included Josh Tong in the playing XI in place of Rehan Ahmed.
