England beat Bangladesh at Abu Dhabi T20 World Cup 2021 match report jason roy tymal mills shines

In the sixth over of the innings, all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan (4) made a mistake in trying to play a slow delivery of Chris Woakes high on fine leg, but Adil Rashid did not make any mistake in taking the catch. Bangladesh’s score in the powerplay was three wickets for 27 runs. Mushfiqur Rahim (3 fours in 30 balls) and Mahmudullah tried to form a partnership for the fourth wicket and took the score to 60 for three in 10 overs.

England dealt a fourth blow to Bangladesh in the next over by dismissing Mushfiqur who was frozen at the crease, who was trying to reverse-swipe Livingstone’s delivery. The on-field umpire turned down the leg-before appeal, after which England captain Eoin Morgan took a review, in which Rahim was declared out and the fourth wicket partnership of 37 runs in 32 balls ended. Afif Hossain could play only six balls and was run out in an attempt to take a run. Mahmudullah (a four in 24 balls) took an easy catch off Livingstone and after 15 overs the score was 83 for six.

Bangladesh lost the seventh wicket in the form of Mehdi Hasan in the 18th over. In the next over, tail batsman Nasum Ahmed hit two sixes and a four on Adil Rashid, adding 17 runs to take Bangladesh close to 120 runs. In the last over, Mills hit Nurul Hasan ( 16 runs) and dismissed Mustafizur Rahman.
