Now the entry of players in Team India will not be easy, BCCI has decided the guideline

new Delhi. Ever since Team India’s exit from the semi-finals in the T20 World Cup, there were talks about changes in Indian cricket. BCCI also started it on the very first day of the new year i.e. on January 1. On Sunday, the BCCI held a review meeting regarding the recent performance of the senior team in Mumbai. Team India captain Rohit Sharma, head coach Rahul Dravid, NCA chief VVS Laxman and senior selection committee chairman Chetan Sharma were present in this. BCCI President Roger Binny and Secretary Jai Shah also attended the meeting.

In this review meeting, apart from the performance of Team India, there was a long discussion on many issues. After this, a roadmap of Indian cricket has been prepared for the future.

The BCCI has taken many important decisions in the meeting, from the selection of players in Team India to the preparations for the ODI World Cup and the workload management of the Indian players playing in the IPL. In this meeting, there was a long discussion on the fitness of the players and a plan was also decided on how the team’s preparation would proceed for the ODI World Cup to be held in India in October-November this year.

In the meeting, 3 major decisions were taken regarding the future of Indian cricket. Let us tell you about those three decisions one by one.

1. Now selection in Team India will be more difficult. The BCCI has decided in this meeting that budding players will have to play a sufficient amount of domestic cricket to be eligible for selection in the Indian cricket team.

2. In view of the increasing cases of players being out of the team due to repeated injuries, the BCCI has also taken a decision regarding fitness. Yo-Yo test and DEXA (DEXA) will be part of the selection from now on and this will also apply to the players involved in the central contract (centrally contracted players). Apart from this, the players included in the Central Pool will also come under its purview and will have to go through it to join Team India.

3. Keeping in mind the Indian cricket team’s busy schedule and preparations for the ODI World Cup to be held later this year, the National Cricket Academy will work closely with the IPL franchises to oversee the participation of selected Indian players in IPL 2023.

Big decision regarding ODI World Cup in BCCI review meeting… only 20 cricketers will get chance

In view of the World Cup 2023, BCCI prepared such a master plan… the rest of the boards were left behind

That is, the roadmap has been prepared for how Indian cricket will move forward in the future. Now it is clear that no player will be able to join Team India by performing brilliantly in one or two seasons of IPL or domestic cricket. Players will have to perform consistently well in domestic cricket. Only after this he will get a chance in the Indian team and secondly, in the matter of fitness, there will be no laxity. Only a fully fit player will get a chance in Team India.
