Bhopal: Union Sports Minister Anurag Thakur said on Monday that the day is not far when India will be ready to host the Olympic Games. Responding to a question about the possibility of hosting the Olympic Games in India, Thakur told reporters here, “Everything is possible in India and India is ready for any big event under the able leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.” ‘ He further said, ‘The chairmanship of G-20 in itself gives the message that India is on new heights. Modi ji is engaged in building a new India and sports have a big role in it.

Thakur said, “The day is not far when India will be ready to host the Olympic Games.” He was asked that the country has already hosted the Asiad and Commonwealth Games, so whether there is a possibility of organizing the Olympics in India and whether the infrastructure of that level is there in India to organize the Olympic Games. Thakur praised the sports facilities available in Bhopal, the capital of Madhya Pradesh. He had come here to participate in the Madhya Pradesh Shikhar Khel Alankaran ceremony.
